What is PrepEdge?

It researches the company and role, tailors your resume to a specific job description, runs a practice interview against an AI panel, and builds a day-by-day prep checklist. Everything is generated from your actual resume and the job posting, not a generic template.

What can I actually do with it?

A cue-card deck and a "cold product" exercise are also available for technical rounds.

Does PrepEdge guarantee I'll get the job?

No. It's a preparation tool: it helps you research, tailor, and rehearse, but the interview and hiring decision are out of its hands. Our Terms are explicit that this isn't a guarantee of any interview or hiring outcome.

Will PrepEdge invent things that aren't on my resume?

Accepted Answer

No. When it suggests a resume change, either it points at something you can honestly claim, or it tells you it can't and asks you to add the real detail yourself. Keyword or skill matches with no basis in your background are flagged as something it can't honestly add, rather than written in. Every drafted sentence appears as a suggestion you review before it lands, and if you decline, nothing changes.

Why is my fit score lower than I expected?

The score is the plain average of the category scores shown underneath it, and nothing else feeds it. Unmet hard requirements from the job posting are not subtracted from that number. They're listed separately, next to the score, at equal weight, so a 70s score with two unmet requirements means exactly that, not something worse hidden in the arithmetic.

Where does the company and role research come from, and what if it can't find something?

Your role brief pulls from the job posting and, where available, live web research on the company. Every field is labeled by where it actually came from: the posting, research, or the model's own inference. A claim like a named competitor is dropped if it isn't backed by that research, and if research turns up too little on a point, the brief says so instead of filling the gap.

Can the mock-interview coaching or scorecard say I said something I didn't?

No. Every note in your coaching feedback and end-of-session scorecard has to cite an actual turn from your transcript and a quote taken from it, and that citation is checked against your real transcript before it's shown to you. A claim that can't be verified against something you actually said is stripped out rather than shown as fact.

Do I have to approve every change before it lands on my resume?

Yes, for anything drafted rather than mechanical, like a reworded bullet or a new sentence built from a skill you've asserted. You see the suggested text first. Nothing is silently appended to your CV.

How does pricing work?

PrepEdge runs on credits, not a subscription. You buy a one-time pack, and each AI action costs a fixed number of credits. New accounts start with 5 free credits.

What does each feature cost?

1 credit for a role brief (your first fit score against a resume is included), a cue-card deck, a checklist, a debrief, or a Light (recruiter-screen) mock interview. 2 credits for a resume tailoring with cover letter included, or a Standard (technical/hiring-manager) mock interview. 4 credits for an Advanced panel mock interview. Recomputing a fit score you've already seen costs 1 credit; viewing it again never does.

Do credits expire?

What if a generation fails partway through?

Accepted Answer

You're never charged. Credits are debited only after a generation succeeds and is saved. If something fails after that, the credit is refunded automatically.

Can I get a refund on a credit pack?

Accepted Answer

Credit purchases are non-refundable except where consumer-protection law requires it. See the Terms of Service for the exact language.

What happens when I run out of credits?

The action you're trying to run is blocked until you buy more. Nothing runs without credits, and nothing is charged retroactively.

Is my resume or interview data used to train AI models?

Accepted Answer

No. PrepEdge uses the Claude API to generate briefs, tailored resumes, and interview scoring. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms, none of the data submitted through the API is used to train their models.

Does anyone else see what I upload, like a recruiter or employer?

Accepted Answer

No. Your resume, job descriptions, and interview answers are used only to generate your own outputs. PrepEdge doesn't share your content with recruiters, employers, or anyone else.

What happens if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

Your account is scheduled for removal within 30 days of deleting it, and this can't be undone.

Is my account shared with other Edge products?

Accepted Answer

If you use the same login on SalesEdge, PitchEdge, StudyEdge, or ManagerEdge, it's the same account and the same credit balance across those products. HireEdge is the one exception: a fully separate account with its own credits, never linked automatically. Your actual content (resumes, briefs, transcripts) isn't shared between products either way; only identity and credit balance are shared among the first five.

Where is my data stored?

The database and backend run on EU-based infrastructure. Generating content sends your resume, job description, or interview answers to Anthropic's Claude API, hosted in the US.

How do I get started?

Create an account, upload your resume, and paste in a job description to get your first role brief. Both come out of the free credits every new account starts with.

Do I need a separate resume for every job I apply to?

Accepted Answer

No. Upload one base resume, then tailor it to each job description. Each tailoring is its own version; your base resume is never overwritten.

Does PrepEdge work in languages other than English?

Accepted Answer

Generated output matches the language of your job description and your own answers, not a fixed setting. Translating your base resume into a different language is available for Norwegian today.

What if the AI is temporarily down?

Accepted Answer

PrepEdge returns a clear error rather than silently failing partway through, and you're not charged a credit for anything that didn't complete.
